Knowing and Doing the Will of God Through Celebration

Knowing and Doing the Will of God Through Celebration

God wants us to celebrate. He commands us to rejoice. Knowing and doing the will of God build on this theme. Jesus said he came to give life and life more abundantly, a life that overflows into joy. Most Christian have shunned away from celebrating. They have become purpose driven and motivated. They have ignored and frankly abandoned the concept that life is a series of celebrations. Life is not burdened with chores and problems. Celebration takes care of that.

The Jews have number of festivals they have to observe or celebrate. Have you even been to a Jewish festival party? It is full of fun and laughter, music and dancing mixed with drinking and eating. Most of God's festivals were meant to be just that. It is a time to forget your passing problems and earthly concerns. Learn to bank upon the everlasting covenant with God and rejoice. The end with God is happily ever after.

This is not a fairy tale, but it is going to happen.

Knowing and doing the will of God is easy if you follow God and observe festivals. Celebrations are usually a time to remember an event. Birth of a baby, weddings, graduations, promotions, and achievements are all grounds for joy. Christians must know that this is how God wants you to live. In the midst of sickness, sorrow and trouble, you must learn to trust God. Only celebration and a joyful spirit can prove to others that you believe in God.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. The strength dos not come from you, the source has to be God. Human logic will tell us differently. The human corrupt nature will always drive us the opposite direction from God. God does not focus on problems. He shows us his solutions. He has built in systems within us to overcome any problem. However it has to be trained and developed by knowing and doing the will of God.

When you celebrate anything you also liberate your should from the tyranny of burdens. Burdens get heavy as you load them one o top on another. Each celebration is an offset to loads of burdens. IT can lift it off when you begin to focus on God's faithfulness in the past. Celebrations do not focus on future or uncertainly. It focuses on something very specific that God has done for you in life. It reinforces that it is wroth the while to trust in God. Knowing and doing the will of God is just that.
